Flowers in bloom

The apple orchard outside my house is in bloom and it is absolutely breathtaking to look at.  Don´t you agree?
Even my run-down picked fence looks wonderful surrounded by the trees in bloom.
In a few days, the lilacs will be blooming, and the garden will be at its best at the yard sale this weekend. Fingers crossed for sunny weather!

Yard sale!

On this coming weekend I will be having another yard sale. Still have a bunch of things to get rid of :-).

If you are in Norway and in the area, I hope you have a chance to stop by, and if you are a collector of Norwegian antiques, I might have something for you...

Check it out on Facebook here.

PS! My house is only five minutes by car from beautiful Villa Malla. A great place to eat lunch!
As we know lunch and shopping goes hand in hand ;-).

Hope to see you there!

Kids classics

On Saturday we celebrated our daughter´s given name, Tille, and had a lovely party which included family and friends. On her (or I guess mom´s!) wishlist was a bunch of Scandinavian classics such as:

1. Kay Bojesen´s Monkey. A qute little friend that will be around forever!

2. The Tripp Trapp High Chair, designed in 1972 by Norwegian Designer, Petter Opsvik, now produced by Stokke. A great and practical chair she can have for years.

3. Childrens cutlery Vivianna in stainless steel from Georg Jensen, designed by Vivianna Torunn Bülow-Hübe in 1996.

All these and a bunch of other great gifts became hers on her lovely day.
What a lucky little girl!

The great Kristen Visdal

You may have seen her house before, but not in a while and not like this. New colors, new combinations and new furnitures. You can see Kirsten Visdal´s "new home" in Elle Decoration´s (the Norwegian one!) June edition which is out now.

Back again!

Ten months has gone by since my last post, and time has sure flown by! I decided to enjoy my time as a new mom, and dedicated all my time that. Unread magazines piled up, no new blogposts were written, only a few new furnitures was made, and hardly anything new was done on the house
(incredible how much time these little ones take...). Now, my daughter is nine months, and I feel that it is time to do a little bit of "my stuff".  Now it is back to work, reading magazines and searching for new inspiration :-).

Spring is here and a couple of weeks ago I "unpacked" all my gardening gear, pots and outdoor furnitures, and went to the nursery to buy some plants. Here´s the result!
